Activation
Follow the Activation Guide or the steps below to activate Umantis Design Pro for external appearance:
- 1. Melden Sie sich in der Lösung als Administrator an.
- 2. Navigieren Sie über "Grundeinstellungen > Design >" zu den "Basiseinstellungen".
- Alternativ direkt über die URL-Erweiterung: /Administration/Design/Basics
- 3. Klicken Sie auf "Bearbeiten"
- 4. Wählen Sie unter "Umantis Design Pro" die Checkbox Umantis Design Pro extern aktivieren aus.
- Sofern diese nicht sichtbar ist, blenden Sie diese bitte zunächst über den Anpassungsmodus ein.
Das Design wird nach dem Speichern für die folgenden (überwiegend von externen Benutzern verwendeten) Bereiche aktiviert: /SelfService; /Jobs;/Password; /Vacancies; /VacanciesIntraxData; /SelfServiceRecruiter- 5. Klicken Sie auf "Speichern".

Lebenslauf per Drag & Drop hochladen – Ihr Umantis Bewerbermanagement erfasst dank neuer CV Parsing-Funktion automatisch alle relevanten Daten. So wird der Bewerbungsprozess schneller und einfacher.
Stellenmarkt überarbeitet
Neuer Stellenmarkt mit wichtigen Informationen auf einen Blick: Symbole und Schlüsselwörter heben die relevantesten Merkmale jeder Stelle hervor. Dank einer übersichtlichen Darstellung finden Bewerber schneller und intuitiver die passende Position.
Optimierte Such-Tags
Mehr Kontrolle und Übersicht: Die neu gestalteten Such-Tags ermöglichen eine intuitive Filteranpassung. Einzelne Filter lassen sich per Klick entfernen, wodurch die Suche schneller und flexibler wird.
Counter
Zusatzinfos über einen Counter: Ein Zähler passt sich dynamisch an die ausgewählten Filter an und liefert Echtzeitinformationen der verfügbaren Stellen.
Neue Prozess-Ansicht
Bewerbende sehen auf einen Blick, in welchem Schritt sie sich gerade befinden. Das sorgt für mehr Übersicht und eine bessere Orientierung im Bewerbungsprozess.
Neuer Uploader
Einfacher und intuitiver: Drag & Drop, eine klare Statusanzeige und direkte Validierung vor dem Upload sorgen für eine reibungslose und fehlerfreie Dateiübertragung.
Optimization of field layout in application form
After the switch, the application form should be reviewed carefully and adjusted if needed to make sure everything looks and works as intended in live mode. For a smooth and user-friendly application process, we also recommend revising the order of the form fields. Key functions such as login or CV parsing should be placed at the beginning of the form so that applicants can complete the most important steps right at the start.
Due to the change, it may happen that some headings still need to be shown or hidden.
It may also be necessary to check the existing headings in the application form and adjust them if necessary as part of the switch.
The fields can be reordered and headings can be customized easily using the Customize view function in the form configuration.
In addition, we recommend checking the link to the job market contained in the application form. This ensures that applicants are always redirected to the correct and current overview of your open positions.
Note: Please note that in order for the individual fields to be displayed correctly, they must also be activated via the respective branches in the Application Process Configuration. Only if the fields are activated there will they appear accordingly in the application form.
Important innovation: Two-column application form
The application form now offers the option of displaying entire content blocks in two columns. This can be configured directly under the respective heading using the gear icon.
This allows information to be displayed in a more visually appealing and space-saving way – ideal for structured form sections.

Important notes
If you have already used the individual color design in the previous design (2018), your color design will be automatically "migrated" to the 2024 design, i.e. the individual settings will work for the 2024 design. You should note the following minor changes:

- If you rename the main navigation/navigation bar on the left (via Configuration mode): The field length is limited. If the new name is too long, it will be abbreviated with three dots "...'" at the end.
- Line breaks with <br> are generally not' supported in headers and should therefore not be used.
- Important: Do not use "!important" for individual color codes, as these work in new designs without the use of this expression.
- If you want to change the background color of the sidebar menu, you can do this via the corresponding individual color code of the Header.
- Please check whether the logo is displayed correctly after activation and [it if necessary].
All other individual settings for the color design work as with the previous 2018 design.
Design preview: Temporary activation
The temporary activation of the Umantis Design 2024 allows you to get a first glimpse of the modern interface without affecting other users. Simply add the following URL extension at the end of your Umantis URL to activate the new design only for your current browser session. To return to the "old" design, log out and then log in again.

Applicant overview
Filtering and checking applicants is now easier. This means you can find the best applicant with even less effort and time.
Expandable tables
In the 2018 design, certain information was displayed when the mouse was moved over the three dots
In the new Umantis Design 2024, table entries can be expanded. The Configuration mode can be used to define which information should be displayed.
Tip: It is advisable to only show the really relevant information in tabular overviews. Combine columns if necessary (via "Combine column with next"), because this way you can ensure that you do not have to scroll to the right to expand a table row.
Forms
The new components make it easier to navigate and handle information efficiently. The layout and collapsible sections leave more space for long forms.
Pop-ups
The Configuration mode can be used to define which action should be displayed as a pop-up.
Notes: Please note that the pop-up is designed for use on a single' page and is not suitable for workflows (multiple pages). It is also not recommended to configure the pop-up for more complex overviews (e.g. "Create new job requisition"). No HTML editor or upload fields are supported. We recommend using this functionality for simple' actions, such as "Convert job requisition to job" or "Forward to third party".

Optimized charts give you an improved overview of your jobs and applications.

With the new design, the interface of your solution is clearer and more optimized for the end user.
The user interface of the applicant management system has been given a more modern and generous design. The focus here is on usability. You will find the most important new features in the section above.
The new Umantis user interface is applied to the following areas (generally used by internal company users) when activated:

- /SelfServiceBoard
- /SelfServiceApprovals
- /SelfServiceAppraisals
Areas that are primarily used by external users (applicants) (/SelfService, /Password, /Vacancies, /Jobs, /VacanciesIntraxData, /SelfServiceRecruiter) remain unaffected.
The new design of the BM is not fully responsive to the same extent as the old one, but it is scalable and should generally work on mobile devices. The majority of customers use the BM on desktop devices, so mobile use is not the focus.
The new design of Umantis Applicant Management is not fully accessible to the same extent as the old one.

- The Umantis Design 2024 can be activated by the administrator. Instructions can be found in the section Activation.
- All solutions will be automatically switched to the new design by the end of June 2024. After that, it will no longer be possible to switch to the old design.
Filter settings are adopted with the new design.
The new design has no influence on external pages such as your job posting or career pages. The new interface relates exclusively to the solution itself. This means that external appearances in your corporate identity will not be changed or adapted in any way.
Until when will the old design be available?
How long can I still use my individual design before I have to switch to the new design?
From the end of June 2024, the new design will be activated automatically and you will no longer be able to switch back to the old design. We will discontinue support for the old interface after this date.
By switching to the new 2024 design, you will benefit from a new, modern interface. Your settings and individual configurations will be retained.
Previously, you could display additional information in a table using mouse-over. Now the tables can be folded out and you can perform actions and call up information with just a few clicks without having to navigate to another page. Your administrator can use the customization mode to specify which information should be displayed there.
These dashboards are independent of the new design. You can find more information about the new dashboards in the following document:
New dashboards in applicant management
After the switch, only a pop-up is activated by default, which allows you to view the applicant documents in the general or job-specific applicant overview. All other functions that are also available via pop-ups must be activated manually.
Yes, all changes, including design adjustments, made during temporary activation will remain.
Yes, you have the option of configuring each field accordingly and specifying whether it should be displayed in the drop-down menu or in the regular view. To do this, use the Configuration mode mode.
