If there are performance problems when using your solution, check the most frequent trouble sources listed below.
Browser settings (for end users)
- Umantis should have been added to the so-called trusted sites.
- Check the use of add-ons that impact connection speed.
- When using Internet Explorer: Check the action of group guidelines
- Check proxy settings and, if necessary, access the server without the proxy server.
- Check the server time request: The current connection speed is shown by navigating with the mouse above the footer. If there are differences between the time shown here and your server time, then there is a connection problem.
- Use another browser (such as Firefox or Chrome).
Infrastructure (for IT specialists)
- Run the test with a different Internet connection (for example with a Smartphone or at home).
- Check the settings at the proxy server or in the firewall and if necessary, add the SSL security exception rule for "xxx.umantis.com".
- When using a web application firewall (continuously checks the data transmission to the Internet server), try switching it off.
- If a Deep-Packet-Inspection/Intrusion Protection/Anti-Virus or another type of IPS is used at the firewall: Is there a change in the access speed if it is released for "xxx.umantis.com"?
- Check the Quality of Service (QoS) for "xxx.umantis.com".
Other methods
- Monitoring for https://employeeapp-xxx.umantis.com or https://recruitingapp-xxx.umantis.com: Send requests, for example every 30 seconds and check the response times/latencies.
- Check any packet losses between customer and Umantis.
- Test routing via Traceroute (calculating the connection path of IP router data packets to the target computer) to Umantis; if necessary, reroute through provider.
In the event of performance problems when loading the overviews, reduce the size of the displayed jobs overview using Configuration mode (configure tables) to 10 lines.
